Faith to Start

Faith to Start

Often times in life the most difficult step is the very first one.  I have heard a pastor once say that it doesn’t take a lot of faith to finish but it takes a lot of faith to start.  This week we will close out our Divine Direction series as we learn about the faith that it takes to start doing the things God has called us to do.  This could be the beginning of the next amazing chapter of your life!

Foundation of Friendship

God designed us to be in relationships and it is one of the reasons He designed the church. The relationships that we choose like many other things in this world can be healthy, powerful and uplifting to our lives.  But if we choose to ignore God’s leading, it can lead to heartache and destruction. Listen this week as we learn from God the art of “FRIENDING.”

Something's Missing

Jesus is more than just a baby in a manger and a savior on a cross.  Although these are the two things we often think about, there is so much more to this man named Jesus.  We will look at the other aspects of Jesus that will help us on our journey today.

Present

(no recording)

We have all been in situations where we struggle with trying to do what is right, what is best, and what is going to reflect well.  Joseph had promised to be united with Mary, but now an unseen pregnancy has him left with a dilemma.  We will learn from Joseph that it is sometimes hard, but better to be present in the moment, than take the easy way out.

Past

The Jewish people were given a promise nearly 2000 years before that fateful night in Bethlehem.  God had gone silent for nearly 400 years and for much of that time, life was horrible for the people of God.  The shepherds were waiting.  Waiting for life to change, to catch there break and to see something different.  What was about to happen, would change their lives forever.

Important Over Urgent

Important Over Urgent

It could easily be said that we are the sum total of the decisions that we have made in the past and that the choices we make today are forming the person we will be tomorrow.  This Sunday, we will address one of life’s most difficult decisions… choosing important over urgent.  This message will look at two sisters who were face to face with the son of God and how one chose to address that which was urgent, while the other chose what was most important.  We hope you will join us as we read through God’s word and conclude our series “I Choose.”

Election Hangover

Probably the last thing we want to do this weekend is talk about the election.  We have been bombarded for the past year on candidates, attacks, bickering inside and outside of the party lines, and to top it off, one of the craziest election nights we have ever seen.  But we have also been made aware that our country is hurting and very much divided on so many issues.  So listen as we will look to God for guidance and comfort and hopefully find an amazing remedy for our Election Hangover.

Discipline Over Regret

Sometimes things happen that are beyond the scope of our control.  Many things, though, are a direct result of the decisions and responses we make.  These decisions greatly impact the person we eventually become. Who we are today is largely the result of responses we have made in the past, and the choices we make today dictate the person we become tomorrow.  Each and every day presents us with new opportunities to say, “I choose…”  How will you fill in the blank?  We hope you respond by listening to this week's message from Revive Christian Church, "Discipline Over Regret."

Purpose Over Popularity

We are the result of our decisions. While we agonize over little things like what to wear and what to eat, are we glossing over the big choices? There might be more on the line than you thought when you say “I Choose.”

This four-part message series helps us learn to be intentional about the choices we make. We'll cover topics like surrender, urgency, and priorities.

Hope For the Future

We often look to the future with rose-colored glasses. We assume everything will just work out, but the bible is more realistic. Not all opportunities lead to places you want to go. Jesus is your hope for a rich and satisfying future in this life and the next. He is door to better days.

Hope For Enough

We spend a lot of time worrying if we will have enough. Enough money, enough talent, enough energy. Life feels like a constant fight to not run out of what we need to survive. Jesus spoke into this constant scarcity, “I am the bread of life.” He is the one who provides. He is the one who makes your little into much. Jesus is the hope that you will always have enough.

Life is confusing. We make plans but they go sideways. We try to make progress but the way forward seems foggy. Jesus said, "I am the Light." He is our hope for direction. Jesus not only brings clarity to where you’re headed, but helps you see where you truly stand.

Hope For Security

We all like to feel safe, but life doesn't come with guarantees. That’s why people say, "You have to look out for yourself and make sure you get yours." But Jesus said, "I am the Good shepherd." This means he promises to look after you so you are free to look out for others. He is your hope for security.

Hope For More

Hope For More

We all hope to do more, be more and experience more. This in-born desire to increase our influence and ability was addressed by Jesus when he said, "I am the vine and you are the branches." He wants to be your source of strength and produce amazing things through your life. He is your hope for more.

Hope For A New Life

Hope For A New Life

We all have hopes for our life, but sometimes those dreams hit a brick wall. Jesus broke through that wall, and when you grab on to His hope you take hold of new life. Whenever we hit a dead end, Jesus is there to make all things new.

Our city is filled with amazing people.  But we also are a city that is desperate need for Jesus.  This opening message will take us on the journey that led us to where we are and look through the lens of the future of our hopes and dreams for Revive Christian Church.
